Zoey's baths

I gave Zoey a bath this week, as I do every week, and told Barbara I'd take a picture of how pitiful she looks after she gets out of the bath.

Here's the proof --

She basically has chicken legs, and looks like she wants to murder me because she's so upset about me giving her a bath -- Dad is the good guy. Hahah :) She's a cutie though, and she always wants to cuddle to stay warm after her baths. That's my favorite part :)

White Sox Game

We went to a White Sox vs. Twins baseball game on Tuesday. It was a blast. We were in the 14th row, right behind the dugout -- the closest I've ever been to the field! We had tons of foul balls flying in all around us, but we didn't catch one. Dang it. AND we were almost on the jumbo tron, but then we werent. Dang it. hahha. But seriously, we had such a great time there. It was a super lively and fun game, and guess what, we actually won! I hadn't been to a Chicago game where the home team had won yet, and I got lucky! :)

I've always been a baseball fan -- its just a blast to be able to go and do things that you love with people that you love :)

I have a handsome husband -- don't I? :)

Trip to Nauvoo

Devin and I had the opportunity to take a trip to Nauvoo to meet Dev's parents there and have an awesome vacation with them. We left Friday afternoon, and they met us there, we had fun going to the temple, taking an oxen ride, learning about the pioneers, and finding where Devin's ancestors had owned land or built there in Nauvoo.

I'm sure grateful for those faithful members that settled in Nauvoo and travelled to the Salt Lake Valley with handcarts and for those who gave their lives for the gospel that I have today.

We were able to visit the Nauvoo temple. The last time that Devin, Barbara, and Eric were there, the temple hadn't been finished being built yet, the last time I was there, it had been finished, but I wasn't old enough to go inside. Fortunately, we were all able to go together for the first time. It was beautiful and such an incredible experience for me. : )

A few of my favorites ..

There are a few things that I just love and you can't find them anywhere else than Oklahoma.

Soooo, here they are :)

Well obviously these peeps, but they're sitting in this place called Braums - that's the best ice cream and burger shop in the world, and I will forever be convinced that that is the truth. :)

And this is why - they're birthday cake ice cream, I've tried it at other places, it just doesn't compare. This is seriously the best ice cream in the world :)

Obviously my moms delicious home cooking. :) I love bloomin onions!

And some tasty tasty snow cones! i seriously can't find them anywhere except Oklahoma. They're basically on every single block in OK. LOVE IT :) :)

And this little cutie. I've only met her once, but that definitely is something that has made the top of my favorites list. Love you Adley Harper, you're the cutest :)

Oklahoma City Zoo

While we were in Oklahoma, we took Chance to the zoo in Oklahoma City to have some good brother time. :) Here are a few pictures of it - it was hot and a looong day, but oh my goodness so much fun :)

And we only paid $1 per person to get in !! Whoop whoop! :)

Devin's favorite animal, the bear taking a swim in his little river

GO COUGARS!

We went to an elephant show. That elephant could do more tricks than my 10 pound dog.

I love turtles :)

Frontier City

Devin and I also took Chance to Frontier City. It's an amusement park in Oklahoma City that I used to go to as a girl scout when I was a little girl. I didn't remember it even a little bit, but it was great. We were pretty worried that it was going to rain us out and that we wouldn't be able to go, but that made ALL THE DIFFERENCE! We went in, and there were probably literally only 30 other people in the entire park! We didn't have to wait in one single line, we were just on ride after ride after ride. It was seriously awesome.

There was one ride that we all loved so much we literally rode it around 20 times. It was a log raft ride that took you along a river with rapids and splashed you, and got you all wet. It was seriously fun.

Although Chance had to pee really bad once before we went on it, and then magically afterwards he didn't have to go anymore .. I wonder what happened??  Chance ??

Love my boys!!! :) We had such a fun time at Frontier City :)

Grandparents were BAPTIZED!

My grandma and grandpa were baptized on August 10, 2013. So Devin, Zoey and I made the long trip down to Oklahoma to experience that awesome day with them! They're such great examples to me, and man I'm grateful for them and that they have made this awesome decision in their lives. :) Here's a few pictures for everyone to see :)

I love this woman - she has always been such a great example of a strong, independent, and brave woman in my life. She taught me how to be strong. Love you Granny !

I just love this picture, they really look so genuinely happy - love these people with all my heart :)

All my boys right after their baptism - Devin got to baptize my grandpa :)
